Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Rooted Pediatric Speech is currently an out-of-network, private-pay provider and does not bill insurance directly. Payment is due at the time of each session.

Will I receive paperwork for insurance reimbursement?

Yes. Families will receive a superbill following services that may be submitted to their insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is dependent upon your individual insurance plan and is not guaranteed.

How can I check my insurance benefits?

We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to ask about coverage for speech-language therapy services, out-of-network reimbursement, deductibles, referral requirements, and the number of covered visits allowed per year.

What is your cancellation policy?

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for non-emergency cancellations or schedule changes. Appointments canceled without appropriate notice may be subject to the full session fee.

Emergency cancellations due to illness or unforeseen family emergencies are understood; however, families are still asked to notify the office as soon as possible on the day of the appointment.

What happens if we miss multiple sessions?

Consistent attendance is important for progress and continuity of care. Excessive cancellations, no-shows, or inconsistent attendance may result in the loss of a recurring therapy time slot.

How often are progress updates provided?

Progress is reviewed regularly to monitor growth, discuss goals, and determine whether any changes to the treatment plan are needed.

Where do therapy sessions take place?

Sessions are typically provided in the child’s home, daycare, preschool, or another approved community setting. Teletherapy services may also be available when appropriate.

How long are therapy sessions?

Session length varies depending on the child’s individual needs and treatment plan. Most sessions are approximately 30–45 minutes.
